My story
I have a strong interest in understanding complex user experience systems through comprehensive data analysis and categorization, aiming to provide optimal solutions. Witnessing users fully utilize and derive satisfaction from products I design brings me immense fulfillment. Moreover, facilitating moments for rest and inspiration through seamless experiences is my ultimate goal. I believe in prioritizing naturalness in my work - designs that feel intuitive, allowing users to effortlessly acquire information and fulfill their needs, sometimes even before they realize it. Importantly, I emphasize basing my designs on observed data, ensuring they resonate with real user behaviors.
My journey in the UX field spans nearly seven years, starting from my exploration of interaction design during my undergraduate studies, which focused on web design. Despite majoring in crafts, my fascination with 3D modeling and interaction led me to further study and specialize in UX during my master's. My research initially centered on mobility experiences, particularly in automotive contexts, before shifting towards urban air mobility systems. During my time at PLANA, an aviation mobility manufacturer, I delved into researching and analyzing aviation and airport UX services, utilizing my hands-on skills in metalwork and welding to craft prototypes for data collection. While this marks my first venture into working in the Netherlands, I am confident in my resilience and determination, having previously navigated various professional challenges both abroad and in Seoul.
One of my strengths lies in swiftly summarizing and categorizing complex situations or problems to find optimal solutions. I firmly believe in addressing issues by identifying patterns, which in turn facilitates the development of efficient and effective systems. My experience includes conducting in-depth interviews and surveys with over 270 participants, primarily focusing on aviation passenger experiences. The insights gathered from these studies played a pivotal role in crafting user journey maps and service flows for urban air mobility systems, anticipating needs and pain points based on user feedback.
