The Gwanak-gu Office, located within Seoul City, collaborated with Seoul National University to establish a startup complex, resulting in a total of 16 operational locations to date. Under the organization named "Startup Hero," logo and branding initiatives were carried out, with this project conducted in Professor Lee Jangseop's Studio 41 at Seoul National University.

Overview

We defined the first of our project and figure out how many organizations were involved. Since the client is from a government/Regional organization, we had to know how much range we can define and bring out in terms of branding.

There were already valley in Pankyo IT valley in Kyungki. And there was booming for coworking spaces like Wework, myworkspace, Fastfive, Musinsa Studio and Tipstown. So we contacted to people who is working in those.

Problem

From the start, the client didn't know what to ask for specifically. So the very first thing we did was to figure it out and be more specific about it. Discovering the problem and defining the range was the key to the whole project.
We thought it is important to listen and collect genuine data about the whole services of Heroes because it can affect the Brand of Svalley. But it was a bit hard to collect from Startups and process into Branding.

There are many platforms that fail to provide course applicants with specific information on how to help with their own self-development or provide clear motivation.

Story telling

Building storytelling with the symbols

Gwanaksan is a mountain made of granite, and for S Valley, we used the gems from the mine as a symbol to create storytelling. We set up a system that shares the same standards by matching the stage of the startup with the level of processing of the gems.

Growing startup like Crafting jewel

Our team build the brand system based on the mining Jewel storytelling. According to research on field and stakeholders, there is phase for every startup and it is quite noticeable. As crafting jewel for sophistication, years go by, startup companies are growing if they survive with support from environment, field and VC.
